Abstract

This study has presented a comprehensive overview of the air permitting process in the form of a case study subject in the fiberglass reinforced plastic composites production industry. Every aspect of the air permitting process was examined and details of the thinking behind each step were given. This study demonstrated the complexities, benefits, and pitfalls of the process showing the value of the air permitting consultant throughout. The process is an interrelationship of science, mathematics, financial matters, and engineering. Knowledge of all of these disciplines is equally important in every decision along the way and the study reveals this.
