dc.description.abstract In this issue of the Ball State Alumnus, we are pleased to share stories that speak to Ball State’s dedication to off ering a creative environment where students are experiencing immersive, real-life learning in settings with creative, innovative faculty. The advertising program, off ered through the Department of Journalism, is producing students who are entering the professional ranks, equipped with experience to put theory into practice to tackle whatever the industry expects of them. The secret to the program’s success includes outstanding facilities, experienced faculty, and stellar students. Read our College Close-up, beginning on page 14. A chance meeting in Iraq reunites three alumni, all military offi cers serving tours of duty there. Students in the advertising program are fi nding their Ball State training makes them sought after by top agencies. The Alumni Association engages Ball State graduates across the country to serve as liaisons between the university and its constituents. en_US
