Abstract
This study presents an overview of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and its role as a public organization. It explores how CDC operates as a large organization with many ongoing programs. CDC thrives due to incredible organization, administration, leadership, and communication. It has a large budget, but it does not seem to spend money or funds unnecessarily. It runs numerous programs that help people both nationally and worldwide. These programs cover issues regarding vaccinations and immunizations, disease prevention, disease treatment, disease control, community education and community health, and prevention and treatment of epidemics. It also develops and helps to implement effective policies that provide healthy living options for people of all socioeconomic backgrounds.
