dc.description.abstract This project is composed of five lesson plans on topics of diversity, including identity development, prejudice/stereotypes, race/ethnicity, gender/sexual orientation, and ability. In addition to the lesson plans, there is a resource aid consisting of 50 existing resources that could be utilized in any lesson related to diversity. These resources include books, activities, assignments, songs, and videos. The lessons are geared towards middle school students and many lessons involve open discussions. The goal of the project is to educate middle school students on topics of diversity with the additional goals of increasing students’ self-awareness and empathy for others. en_US
