Abstract

This creative project demonstrates the activities involved in pot making in Waroh based upon the responses of the people. It is an established fact that most African societies do not live in cities, but on the countryside, because they are farmers. Most of the household utensils are locally produced; and it is in this regard that pot making has been chosen because it plays one of the major roles in every home. The activities and method used are studied in order to improve on both quality and quantity for community consumption. The course offers the advantages of being very flexible, highly interesting and relevant to farmers' lives, whose contributions to the country's economy is great.Other areas of economy seem to be taken care of but the clay pot industry has been left almost unattended to and in view of the daily need for pots in the homes, this study hopes to find out solutions to the existing problem of demand and supply in the area. The problems have been studied and so are the ways of improvement.
