Part of the mission of Cardinal Scholar is to provide a centralized venue where Ball State University departments and administrative units may deposit electronic administrative records. Appropriate content for deposit would include: annual reports, meeting minutes/agendas, strategic plans, speeches, and other forms of internal documentation that serve as loci of organizational memory.
Administrators, faculty, professional staff, and support staff may deposit administrative records in Cardinal Scholar. Please visit our page Getting Started to learn how to create an account and begin depositing materials.
Senior administrators may also assign their subordinates to the task of depositing items in
Cardinal Scholar. If a staff member is assigned this role, they should be given the
responsibility for ensuring that the descriptive information that they provide for the file
meets their supervisor's standards. If a supervisor finds that the descriptive information
does not meet their standards, they should direct the staff member to make the necessary
changes, rather than contacting the library.
To learn about how the system works in more detail, visit our Guidelines, Help, and FAQ pages.
