Abstract:
The major component of this project is a video, intended as a television pilot,
which uses prosocial media to teach Kindergarten through 2nd grade students world
history, geography, and the importance of cultural diversity. The written component
looks at prosocial media and examines their use in shaping children’s behaviors in a
positive manner, and then examines the negative impacts of xenophobic behaviors. It also
documents the steps taken in the creation of the video component, as well as gives
rationale for why production was carried out in the manner it was.
