Abstract:
This creative project introduces the general knowledge about Fengshui and focus on
researching the ten Fengshui principles related to ancient Chinese urban planning, in
order to find the inspiration for contemporary sustainable issues in urban planning. Find out the basic concepts of Fengshui and the Eastern and Western World interests about Fengshui. Ten principles of Fengshui conduct to ancient Chinese urban planning inspire present sustainable issues relay to contemporary cities all around world. Four case study cities arranged by logical, from small village, common city to capital city in China, then show a special city which all designed by Fengshui principle. All the cases prove that Fengshui inspire ancient and contemporary Chinese cities. The value of this project is
helping urban planners to develop a view of Fengshui, in order to creative better human
living environment.
