dc.description.abstract Coordinating a student-run event is an intricate process. It involves careful planning, an extraordinary ability to work as a team, quick and smart reactions to unforeseen problems, and a project that drives the organizers to act with passion. I explore the step-by-step process of chairing a committee of students whose goal is to host "Take The Walk" on the Ball State University campus. From the moment that incited my desire to host the walk to the committee meetings, to the day of the event, 1 will detail what I did, how 1 triumphed, and how 1 failed -all excellent learning tools.
