Abstract

Medical procedures, like phlebotomy, have changed and advanced throughout the course of history. Changes that occurred have included equipment and techniques, and drawing locations. Current methods and equipment are discussed with the rationale as to why they are essential in the process of phlebotomy. The need for blood is great and so is the need for individuals to donate blood. The reasons individuals do not donate blood vary for each individual. A pamphlet is included to address the reasons individuals do not donate blood. The pamphlet also promotes blood drives.
