Abstract:
The world of magazines extends far beyond the familiar consumer genre. Besides your standard fashion, music or news magazines there are two other types: business-to-business and organizational. The first serves to keep companies updated on the happenings within their specific industry. The latter serves to keep members of certain organizations, such as college alumni, civic groups or religions, informed. This is the type of magazine that I created for Cornerstone Center for the Arts. In creating the magazine I had to analyze which stories and design would best serve to complete our mission of attracting potential donors to support the organization.
