Abstract:
Creating computer animation and art can be a very challenging process. Software programs used for these processes can be very large, complicated, and can have a steep learning curve. Not only that, but working with computers comes with a fair share of bugs and glitches. Both of these factors mean that creating art on computers requires research, practice, and a large amount of determination. This guide will hopefully alleviate some of that frustration for anyone reading it. My final year in the animation program at Ball State University consisted of building a portfolio of work for employers, all pieces of which came with their fair share of frustrations. This is a brief guide explaining how all of these projects were made. It will give a summary of all of the steps involved in the year's projects. I will share my experience working with these programs so that anyone reading this thesis can have the knowledge to get started in this field.
