High school students' expectations of school counselors

Abstract

The present study examined high school students' beliefs about the responsibilities of school counselors in the domains of academic advising, counseling and referrals, and college and career planning. Twenty eight patticipants from a local high school completed the Expectations of School Counselors survey, a measure designed by the researcher. Results found no distinction among the three studied domains.
