Abstract:

This project consists of program notes for the following pieces: Bernhard Crusell's Duo No. 2, Roberto Sierra's Cinco Bocetos, and Artie Shaw's Concerto for Clarinet. I performed these pieces in recital, along with others performed by my colleague, Kimberly Thompson, on November 20,2014. The final performance and my author's statement exhibit the academic, musical, and technical skills I have learned while studying instrumental music education here at Ball State.
