Abstract:
Through an auto ethnographic study I explored what makes for a good goal, the self regulatory skills needed, and how to set goals for oneself. I then participated in a challenge I called Defeating Someday, where I attempted to complete 20 goals set for myself within 60 days. I recorded my journey on a blog for the duration of the challenge. I then reflected on the goals that I completed and, as well as those I was unable to finish, using the literature on goal setting as my framework for reflection.
