Abstract:
The Rogers City Maritime Heritage Trail is a proposed two-phase multi-use
heritage trail plan for the town of Rogers City, Michigan. This project provides Rogers
City with a trail plan aimed at increasing tourism by promoting the town’s rich maritime
heritage while also providing a multi-use trail for use as an alternative transportation
method by residents. The plan proposed in this document is broken up into two phases,
which will lessen the financial burden on the town by spreading it out over the course of
several years. Additionally, this project provides information on federal and state grants
available to aid Rogers City in the implementation of this project.
