Geography Lesson: Teaching Latitude and Longitude Using Historic Maps
Gentry, Melissa
Date:2016-08-24
Type:Learning Object
Abstract:
This lesson was created by the GIS Research and Map Collection to use as classroom enhancement for teaching latitude and longitude. The lesson incorporates the use of a historic map from the Digital Media Repository. ****Note that place-names on the historic map may have changed. Latitude and longitude coordinates are also not exact, thus use of the word "around" for estimates.
