dc.description.abstract Sea-Tectives is a ten minute, animated short film about a duo of detectives grappling with the most difficult case of their career whilst also dealing with the effects their rising stardom has upon their partnership. The film is inspired by the detective fiction genre pioneered by various book series such as Sherlock Holmes, The Hardy Boys, and Nancy Drew Mysteries. Sea-Tectives utilizes elements of this genre and transplants them into an underwater world where our heroes, a lobster and a clam, struggle with their differing viewpoints. The film is a comedy that parodies the serialization of detective fiction, and set within the context of an underwater world composed of fish, mollusks, and crustaceans. en_US
