Abstract:
Storytelling has existed since the beginning mankind, passing along narratives filled with history, emotion, knowledge, and from generation to generation. It's a common pleasure that is shared by all of humanity. In order to join a legacy composed of artful storytellers, one must craft their skill as a writer: design interesting story arcs, develop relatable characters, as well as generate conflict amongst those characters - all in an effort to convey a message to its audience. I explored each of these elements in order to challenge my own storytelling technique. Specifically, I engaged many prewriting exercises in preparation for my ultimate task: writing a feature-length screenplay.
