Abstract:
Individuals and families are constantly juggling multiple professional and personal commitments that may contribute to stress. Repeated stressors can impair mental and physical health thereby affecting healthy living. FCS professionals' expertise is critical in providing strategies to alleviate stress. This article identifies healthy living and stressors that impact individuals, families, and communities. It investigates recent effective stress management strategies in improving quality of life and discusses FCS professionals' contributions through teaching, research, and service in a changing society.
