Abstract:
Critical care is put in the last semester of the Ball State Nursing Program for a reason; it truly is a fast-paced, challenging culmination of everything one learns in nursing school. The analysis of eight patients in a critical care setting shows the growth and advancement in knowledge that comes with challenging patient care assignments. It is through actual patient care that nurses grow the most. The following eight patients demonstrate the level of critical thinking and nursing care management appropriate for a final semester nursing student.
