dc.description.abstract This project focuses on two Mozart arias: “Zeffiretti lusingheiri” from Idomeneo, and “Batti, batti, o bel Masetto” from Don Giovanni. I discuss the background of the composer and opera genres represented, present synopses of the plot context of the selected arias, provide their texts with English translations, explore the character roles of the arias, analyze the musical forms and harmonies, and, finally discuss performance considerations. The purpose of this study is to provide useful information or guidance to help singers better understand and master these two Mozart arias. en_US
