Abstract:
Growing pains are the difficulties we endure that change us, prompt our growth, and while they can ache, they inevitably lead us to the true and developed versions of ourselves. This creative self analysis thesis aims to explore my growing pains, how they have shaped me, and how they have inspired my strength and this collection of poems. With a collection of sixty poems written in English and Spanish, I explore my past from 2016 to 2021, each year taking the form of a chapter in my life. Each year/chapter contains insightful introductions and conclusions to the difficulties and beautiful moments of hope I experienced over the past five years. Acknowledgments I would like to thank Dr. Timothy Berg and Dr. Stephen Hessel for advising this project. Over my years at Ball State University, you have been incredible mentors and wonderful professors. I would like to thank my family, Abbie, Chinni, Katie, Robbie, and all those who have supported me in my constant process of healing and growth. Without you I woul let alone write, these words. d not have had the courage to live,
