Abstract:
The National Cyber League competition can be a Ball State student’s first exposure to the field
of cybersecurity. When competing in this competition, students who are new to cybersecurity
may struggle to complete required tasks due to a lack of formal training and a lack of provided
resources for training specifically for the National Cyber League. This thesis project seeks to
solve that issue by creating a centralized repository of educational videos based around the
challenges associated with the National Cyber League competition. These videos employ
educational techniques which researchers have stated help improve the educational experience
and success of students. The video series also includes a module that provides students with
additional resources for them to utilize should they be interested in learning more about the field
of cybersecurity.
