Abstract
Car Chases Dog is a ten-piece collection of flash nonfiction-personal essays and miniature memoirs-aided by visuals using digital samples of writing and illustrating I made between the ages of four and six. The collection speaks to my recognition of what it means to remember, what it means to forget, and what it means to move on as I contextualize and dig into various traumatic instances of my youth that still influence my behavior today. Ultimately, the collection asks the question of who will I become as a growing adult and what I will take with me in terms of memory and aches.
