Nursing students conduct over 30 care plans based off of patient assignments in clinical to help improve critical thinking. The final semester during critical care, nursing students write case studies about the care provided to the patient in their care. The case studies include a detailed account of the background, current physical state of the patient, and nursing plan of care for the said patient. The case studies are structure to facilitate a critical thinking process that is crucial for a nurse. I did a case study on four different patients that I took care of during my clinical time. A detailed account of their situation was composed, and I analyzed this information to come up with a plan of care specific for the patient. All personal identifying information was removed to protect the patients identities.
