Abstract:
This creative project is designed to enable Korean teachers of English in elementary school to use English in classroom teaching and to provide the target language needed in various situations and lessons. The first unit consists of words and expressions related to school facilities, classroom objects, and classroom activities. 'The second unit presents situational classroom language that can be used for classroom management in the context of possible classroom situations. The third unit deals with various types of small talk that can be used as warm-ups and that are adaptable to various given classroom situations. The fourth unit focuses on situational classroom language that can be used as samples which involve teaching and interaction between the teacher and the students. The final unit presents classroom activities which contain functional language that can help teachers carry out the activities during the lesson. The order of contents are as the follows: (1) Words and Expressions Related to School Environment; (2) Situation Classroom Language I ; (3) Situational Classroom Language II (Small Talk); (4) Situational Classroom Language III; and (5) Functional Language for Various Classroom Activities.
