dc.description.abstract This study examines the Nuclear Magnetic Resonance spectra of 3-(N,Ndimethylaminoethyl)indene, 1-trimethylsilyl-3-(2-N,Ndimethylaminoethyl)indene, 1-(2-methoxyethyl)indene, 1-trimethylsilyl-3-(2methoxyethyl)indene, and 1-tri-n-butyl-3-(2-N,N-dimethylaminoethyl)indene in order to validate peak assignments in both proton and carbon spectra. One- and two-dimensional NMR experiments performed on these compounds include: 1H NMR, 13C(1H)NMR, 13C DEPT, 'H COSY, HMQC, and HMBC.Found here is the reasoning behind all peak assignments made for these compounds based on proposed structures. en_US
