Abstract:
Criticisms of Robert Frost’s poems were published in newspapers for over thirty years. The problem was to identify the essential features of those criticisms. The question is, what did the criticism say about the art of Robert Frost? The determination of the positive and negative aspects of Frost’s poems as read by critics might give insight into the nature of the criticism of Frost and of his or his poetry’s effect upon the critics. The importance of the problem lies, then, in the very nature of the relationship between art and criticism.
