Abstract:
The purpose of this project was to create a training module for returning Resident Assistants (RAs) at Ball State University. The training module will be a component of the existing training program for all RAs. Its focus will be the training needs of returning RAs.The training module was built through the direction and influences of three separate components. These components included the identified literature, collaboration with the Student Staff Orientation committee (SSO), and concepts from Saint Francis University. Specialized training was developed in the areas of rape/aggression selfdefense, women's crisis, multiculturalism and social justice, and career applications. Each seminar track option had three sessions each three hours long, for a total of nine hours of training per seminar track session. Chapter 4 included the summary of the training module, an outline of the schedule, and instructional guides for each session.
