The purpose of this research paper was to develop an integrated, interdisciplinary based art educational unit of study involving all the arts, for a specific culture. The specific culture chosen for this unit of study was Chinese art. This large unit would serve elementary art students attending Gray Court Owings School, in Gray Court, South Carolina. By integrating the arts through the correlation of the Chinese culture, an enrichment of the arts would be achieved through the school's discipline based art education curriculum.The program was designed to educate not only the students but also their regular classroom teachers and other educational staff members. It was designed to be an opened-ended collection of lesson plans surrounding the Chinese culture.
