Abstract:
This comprehensive project addresses the issue of uniting people in an urban environment. In order to do so, the environment must convey certain feelings and emotions through the design that would entice one to relax, enjoy, and watch. In the design process, it is necessary to expand the imagination in order to create an urban redevelopment site.The specific site for this project is located in downtown Tampa, Florida. The area is a growing community through population, structural elements, design, and creativity. Around the site, new attractions have been built such as a convention center, waterfront hotel, and arena. With these new features surrounding the site, there is a desire to create an environment that would contain various entertainment: attractive restaurants, small shops and boutiques, sports and music bars. Also, it must contain good parking facilities and convenient transportation from the downtown area. This space will be occupied at all times of the day: walkers exercising throughout the morning hours, business people gathering for meetings and eating lunch, families and friends congregating in the evening hours. This space is suitable for all ages at all hours of the day.
