Abstract:
The purpose of this research paper is to compare the effects of a math enrichment program using creative materials in addition to the basal text, with the results of a program using only the basal text. This project is significant to the writer because she feels that a basal text is not sufficient to meet the needs of children; but by employing various enrichment materials in addition to the basal text the writer investigated the hypothesis that through this type of program she would enable her class to experience the math learning process as being more enjoyable, hence, more profitable.
