This study investigated the factors that were influential in the college selection process of baseball players. It also investigated the differences between the influential factors for student-athletes at each NCAA Division. 161 college baseball players from six colleges/universities participated in the study. They were given the Influential Factors Survey for Student Athletes. Results showed the five most influential factors to be: winning program, opportunity to play early in career, baseball specific facilities, coach's personality/style and tradition of athletic program. The athletics section of the survey was deemed most influential by baseball student-athletes. There were differences between the student-athletes at each NCAA Division. Division III athletes viewed academics to be significantly more influential than Division I and II athletes. Division II athletes viewed financial aid to be significantly more influential than Division I or Division III.
