An examination of the relationship of the attitudes toward violence on the part of 100 university students and their preference for violent or nonviolent television shows

Abstract

Acts of violence on television are a daily part of television programming. Moreover, in the era of information where 95 percent of households have one or more television sets, and where the main leisure for people is to watch television, the effects of violence on television to people deserve careful research evaluation.The goals and objectives of this research were to determine if there appeared to be a relationship between attitudes toward violence on the part of 100 college students and what the young people watched on television.
