Abstract:
This paper first defines and explores the actors, trends and procedures of various forms of placement agencies. After detailing these key points, this text then chronicles the societal problems created and cultivated by the practices of these firms, particularly those providing employee leasing. Based on various studies of the state of the industry, as well as its practices, and socioeconomic trends of the temporary workforce, this paper details the operations and criticisms of the industry and how this employment arrangement affects temporary workers and our society as a whole. Through careful contemplation of previously separate research, a clear account of the effects of increased use of temporary employees as a personnel solution is presented.
