dc.description.abstract |
The physical design of the YMCA-YWCA facility is a direct outcome of my design methodology and organization. The YMCA-YWCA Thesis Project represents the first complete development of a+ design project from programming to architectural engineering. The design methodology involved a complexity of programming and scales: ranging from a revised master plan of the c b d (central business district) to interior spatial and mechanical requirements. I was therefore constantly challenged to control many variables to assure a unified and logical design solution. The reflection of this design process and solution follows; and only at reflection is possible in such a limited summary of Thesis Year 1970-1971. |
