The Huron River Corridor : the connection of Ypsilanti and Ann Arbor, Michigan

Abstract

This study explores the creation of a trail and linear park along the Huron River corridor linking the Gallup Park trail and Grove Road trail. The corridor is about 6.2 miles long and will link the two cities of Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti, Michigan. The objective of this study is to develop a master plan for this segment of the Huron River Trail. The study will revive a portion of the 1937 plan for a parksystem which would encircle the Detroit Metropolitan area. The findings of this study will be presented in the following chapters.
