Gender and alcohol in a college bar : an honors thesis (HONRS 499)

Abstract

This paper is the result of exploring and practicing the methodologies that go into creating ethnography. This is a documentation of the process used from making a proposal to writing a short ethnography of college bar culture. I first set forth my project idea and guidelines in my proposal. That is followed by comments on the process of doing this. The next section is a short ethnography based on the data I collected while doing research. Next, I discuss and comment on the methods that I used in my research and the learning process. In the conclusion, I summarize my findings and the process I went through.
