An oral history of the Ball State University Speech, Language, and Hearing Clinic : an honors thesis (HONRS 499)

Abstract

This paper discusses the history of the Ball State University Speech, Language, and Hearing Clinic from its very beginnings, as well as the development of Speech Pathology and Audiology as a major at Ball State University. It includes a discussion of the beginnings of the field of Speech Pathology and Audiology in the state of Indiana. Transcripts from two oral history interviews are an integral part of the thesis. A partial.biograpy of the interviewees: Dr. Richard Artes and Mrs. Martha Reed, former faculty of the Ball State University Speech, Language, and Hearing Clinic, precedes the transcripts.
