Abstract

The world of science is one of continuous change. Old theories and hypotheses are constantly at battle with the newcomers in the field and today's scientist must have knowledge of them all. In particular focus is the allied health professional who must be continually aware of new techniques and procedures, new machinery and intricate computer software which are forever in a state of change. The purpose of this manual is to teach the allied health professional, in particular the nuclear medicine technologist, about the production and utilization of monoclonal antibodies in carcinoma detection and to update the technologist in this advancing field of technology.
