Abstract:

This discussion of the Alaskan Native woman and her art is limited to three tribes and three forms of art: Athabaskan beadwork, Athabaskan and Aleut basketry, and Tlingit Chilkat blanket weaving. In addition, there will be examples of each form of these arts. It is hoped that familiarity will breed appreciation.
