dc.description.abstract In my senior honors project, I created a comparative character analysis of the women in Fried Green Tomatoes (At The Whistle Stop Cafe) and The Color Purple. Through this analysis, I implemented my background in Women's and Gender Studies, African-American Studies, Film Studies, and English, to provide an all-encompassing essay. My primary sources included both the texts and film versions of these novels.
