Abstract

As a Telecommunications major I have been working on video projects since I was a freshman. I have put together all types of projects including news pieces, commercials, and public service announcements. However, I had never had the opportunity to create a short film. "Oblivious To Luck" is a movie that I wrote, storyboarded, produced, directed, and edited. It is a film of which I am very proud."Oblivious To Luck" is a fictional film that my roommate and I dreamed up after my car was broken into one night. I had been looking for a script idea and drew inspiration from that event. Once the script based around that event was solidified, I was able to use the university's high-definition camera equipment to create a film at the highest possible technical standard. This film is an example of my best work in the Telecommunications department and is a larger project than I had ever previously undertaken at Ball State University.
