dc.description.abstract This exploration into the lives of Parch, Emma, and Goldie Higginbotham sheds light on the experiences of our ancestors. It describes the lives of typical farmers in the late 1800's and early 1900's, the effects of the Great Depression on individuals, and the ways individuals coped with emotional loss. This is a family life history which traces the events of the lives of my great-grandparents and grandmother.
