| dc.description.abstract | This thesis explores the Haiti Parish Twinning relationship between St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Muncie, Indiana and St. Michael's Parish in Plaisance, Haiti. A description of the origins of this relationship is included, as well as a description of the relationship itself. Also included in this thesis is a comparison of the two communities involved in this twinning relationship. One part of this comparison is a description of some aspects of life in Plaisance. An appendix of pictures is attached to help illustrate some of these aspects. Finally, there is a discussion of the importance and impact of this twinning relationship on every person involved. | |
