Abstract:
This project came about as a result of my love for music and my desire to be challenged in several new ways. The first challenge I sought was as a songwriter. I have written countless songs and pieces of songs over the years, but had never had the drive or reason to complete these songs with lyrics, and refine them over time. I had also never been the leader in a band or collaborative musical setting. So I chose to write songs, and put together a two-hour show. My project consists of three parts. The first is the expanded reasoning and reaction to my decision to pursue this project. The second is the explanation and inspiration behind the original songs I composed for the project, as well as their lyrics. The final is the performance itself, which has been forever preserved on a vhs tape.
