Abstract:
Quilting is a tradition in my family that my grandmother, her sister, my aunts, and now even my mother all enjoy as a hobby. I, recently, have also taken up this hobby in my longing for continuing family traditions. I come from a very close-knit farming family who has had more love and support for me than I know most people are privileged to have. During college, I have participated in a great deal of soul-searching in hopes of discovering the reality of who I really am. Part of the soul-searching was simply adjusting to the whirlwind of change that seems to embrace the college student's and young adult's life. Throughout my last five years, I taken classes from various departments and colleges hoping to discover the passion I would like to transform into a career.
