Abstract:
The purpose of this thesis is to inform future elementary education student teachers at Ball State University of what to expect during their experience. I chose to develop this guide because I entered my own elementary education student teaching experience feeling lost and unsure of what to expect over the next sixteen weeks. I have included with this guide daily journals that I wrote throughout my experience. They helped me to see my growth as an educator and I hope that they can help future student teachers feel confident as they enter their own experience. The guide also includes information on other student teaching programs at various Indiana colleges and universities.
