Abstract:
This study examined student's camp experiences and their relationship to school motivation. In addition, camper's parents' perceptions of camp experience as it relates to camper's school motivation. Findings and discussion include the impact of activities, the camper/counselor relationship, and peer interaction on camper's school motivation. Perspectives from a focus group, camper survey, and parent survey of a selected summer camp provide framework for discussion. Discussion includes correlations observed from results, importance of findings, and future implementations of research findings.
